50 Italian engineering and architectural companies attended in Rome, on February 5th 2015, a workshop on procurement policies within the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
The event organized by OICE and ICE - the Italian Trade Agency - within a capacity building program sustained by the Italian Government, aims to improving the performance of Italian engineering companies participating to Bank’s tenders.
EBRD procurement experts presented key topics such as how and where companies can identify and select relevant information, procurement methods, and gave an insight on the Bank’s bidding procedures and the mistakes that can and must be avoided.
Results are very encouraging, Italian engineering participation to the Bank’s tenders has more than doubled since OICE and ICE have implemented this training program and Italian Engineering ranks within the top 5 of the EBRD’s awarded countries.
